Travelling by train to Belgium nowadays is fast and easy. There are several high speed train lines connection Belgium with the neighboring countries and the rest of Europe. Despite the small size of our country, Belgium counts 3 high speed train stations; Brussels South, Liege Guillemins and Antwerp Centraal.

High Speed Trains from the UK to Belgium:

The Eurostar high speed trains connect Brussels and London through the channel tunnel with speeds up to 300 km’s / hour. Stops at London St. Pancras, Ebbsfleet, Ashford, Calais, Lille and Brussels South station

High Speed Trains from France to Belgium:

IZY runs a low-cost high speed train line connecting Paris Nord and Brussels South in 2 and a half hours. Trains run 2-3 times a day and ticket prices start at 19€.

The TGV Train line starts in the South of France and runs all the way to Brussels. They connect major cities like Nice, Marseille, Avignon, Perpignan, Lyon, Paris, and Lille with Belgium. There is also a TGV line connecting Strasbourg with Paris and up to Brussels.

Thalys has a high speed train line starting in Marseille up to Paris and Brussels towards Köln (Germany) or Amsterdam (The Netherlands).

Trains from Germany, Suisse or Austria to Belgium:

ICE Trains arrive and depart from Brussels South Station and Liège Guillemins Station. They connect with many large German cities such as Aachen, Berlin, Frankfurt, Hannover, Köln, Munich etc. It’s possible to travel all the way to Zurich(Suisse) or Vienna (Austria) with the ICE train.

There is a Thalys high speed train line departing in Dortmund to Essen, Duisburg, Dusseldorf, Köln, Aachen, Liège and Brussels.
